What we do
International accounting standards
We are working with key international professional bodies and organisations, such as the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB), International Valuation Standards Committee (IVSC) and other international real estate representative bodies such as EPRA, NAREIT, REALpac, PCA and APREA, to develop an improved international accounting environment.
High on the agenda is the convergence of International Accounting Standards with US GAAP, with the objective of obtaining consistent principles between the two accounting environments and improved understanding of financial reporting on a global level. This includes areas such as performance reporting, income statements and lease accounting. We are actively involved in this process and aim to ensure these developments are in the best interests of our members.
