What we do
Self invested personal pensions (SIPPs)
SIPPs are becoming increasingly popular for individuals seeking direct control over their own personal pension investments.
Commercial property has been a popular investment for SIPPs. The government had intended to allow the investment of residential property in SIPPs. But concerns over the potential abuse of this move, which we shared, led to an eleventh hour U-turn by the government last year.
As a result, residential investment in SIPPs is now limited to 'genuine' collective investment schemes.
