What we do
London Olympics 2012
A key element of London's successful bid for the 2012 games was the positive regenerative impact that the legacy will hold for residents and businesses within the Lower Lea Valley and greater East London.
The Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) is charged with delivering the permanent venues and infrastructure required for the games and, at the same time, is planning for the legacy.
Experience of Olympic games and other major events in cities like Athens, Barcelona and Sydney has demonstrated that, in concentrating on delivering the event, the legacy aspect of the buildings and infrastructure can become sidelined.
Working with the Urban Land Institute, we are exploring the conditions required to ensure a successful legacy.
